Project Overview

We're looking for a volunteer to create a professional-looking, digital-format annual impact report that communicates our organization's impact to donors and stakeholders. Depending on your schedule, we estimate that this project can be completed over 4-5 weeks. In our initial meeting, we will share our vision in terms of design, review the content with you, and answer any questions you may have. We'll schedule a second meeting to review the preliminary design. We're looking to have a collaborative process and will provide feedback throughout the process. We may need one or more additional feedback sessions before our time together culminates with you providing us with the final deliverable - potentially in a working format that we could edit in the future and most importantly in a digital format we can easily share with our stakeholders. All of the written content has been developed -- we just need you to bring it to life.

Our ideal volunteer has experience designing annual or impact reports or similar documents, and and will be prepared to show us their portfolio of design examples. Additionally, this volunteer should be comfortable designing impactful materials that will reflect and resonate with members of the African-American community, which our nonprofit serves.

The California Black Health Network is a 40+-year-old nonprofit organization whose mission is to ensure that all Black Californians, regardless of their education, socio-economic class, zip code, sexual orientation, gender identity, homelessness, or immigration status have access to high-quality and equitable healthcare, and avoid unnecessarily succumbing to disease.

It's time for us to share our successes and stories more broadly so that we can make more of an impact. Join us to help spread the word about our organization and the resources we provide. Though this is a short-term project, this could be the launching point of a longer relationship, as we are looking for a fresh, creative look and feel for our overall brand. We need your creativity to help us bring our vision to life!

The written content has been developed and callouts have been identified. We'll share our logo and vision with you. We are in the process of elevating our branding and style and would love your input. We can share some examples of impact reports we like for your reference. We plan to share this document with our donors, supporters, and the community.
