Project Overview
We seek an engineer to collaborate with our designer to implement our new nonprofit website. While we are agnostic regarding the hosting platform, we prefer Webflow. We want a solution that allows for quick updates, is secure, and can accommodate a large volume of daily site visits and interactions.
The architecture, designs, and wireframes have already been completed by us and the designer, so our primary need is for engineering support. This involves converting the established designs into a secure, functional website.
Our work will take place over multiple meetings within six to nine weeks, in conjunction with our designer.Our website is critical to fulfill our mission to make social media safer for everyone -- protecting millions across the country. It is used regularly by:
- families globally to provide critical educational resources on social media safety;
- schools and education leaders who need assistance with social media safety;
- national and local policymakers looking for information on social media safety;
- members of the press working on breaking social media safety stories and features.
We need a top-of-the-line site that can serve all these populations while providing easily findable information and conveying the credibility and legitimacy of our global brand. A successful website re-design means many more lives saved and protected.We have already obtained a top-level website designer who is immediately available to begin work once we secure an engineer. Once complete we will launch the new website to the public.
Nonprofit Overview
The Organization for Social Media Safety is the first and only consumer protection organization focused exclusively on social media.
Our mission is to make social media safe for everyone by protecting against all
social media-related dangers like cyberbullying, social media addiction, hate speech, and human trafficking.
The Organization for Social Media Safety is leading the global effort to protect against the social media-related dangers that social media is causing or facilitating. Our programming is informed by a Board of Directors and Advisory Council that includes world-class educators, psychologists, legislators, physicians, and technologists.
